Dean of Students. Caregiver. Solo Ager. Writer.
I'm a Dean of Students in Lakeland, Florida, which means I spend my days thinking about belonging, community, and what people need to thrive.
Outside of that work, I'm a caregiver for my mother and a solo ager thinking seriously about my own future. Those two realities led me to build Helping Mom and Aging Solo Today, and to write honestly about all of it at Solo Pour.
Over the years, I've come to realize that whether I'm working with students, supporting families, or reflecting through my writing, the common thread has always been the same: creating practical resources, thoughtful encouragement, and meaningful conversations that help people thrive wherever they are in life. I believe that when people thrive, they become more generous, more compassionate, and more willing to help others thrive as well.
This is where the different chapters of my life come together.
If you'd like to reach out, I'd be glad to hear from you.
Some books are written to teach.
Others are written to remind us of what we already know, but too often forget.
Solo Pour is a collection of heartfelt reflections about family, caregiving, aging solo, community, leadership, gratitude, faith, and the ordinary moments that often become life's most meaningful memories.
What began as quiet Sunday morning reflections over a cup of coffee has grown into a book that invites readers to slow down, look around, and appreciate the people and moments that shape who we are.
Whether you're caring for an aging parent, navigating life on your own, leading others, or simply searching for a little encouragement, these essays offer thoughtful companionship for the journey.
If you've ever found yourself lingering over a morning cup of coffee, reflecting on where you've been, who has influenced your life, or what truly matters, I hope you'll feel at home within these pages.
